It was August 2006 when a dream took a step closer to reality. Colleen Haws dropped her 9 to 5 and set out to disrupt conventional food service with a new-age, fun, and exciting casual-upscale experience desperately needed in the suburbs of Northern Kentucky.
Born August 7, 2007 in Ft. Mitchell, KY, Grandview Tavern has become the choice destination for all occasions. While the rest of the industry scrambles to hop aboard the fresh food train, we've been en route since day ONE!

Executive Chef Michael Nelsen
Originally from Texas, Mike Nelsen grew up cooking with his mom and developed a passion for being in the kitchen. Chef Nelsen boasts that his mom has been the biggest influence in his culinary career. To this day, she still holds him to preparing food at the highest of standards. On his 16th birthday she pushed him into his first job in a restaurant and so began the love affair. Over the years he has developed his skills by working with some of the top chefs in greater Cincinnati helping him to hone in on his passion and drive his prosperous career.
When Chef Mike is not at Grandview, he is spending his time with his 3 children - Erica, Jack, and Emma. Periodically, you may even find them in Grandview's kitchen cooking up their favorite pizza, maybe one of them will someday follow in his footsteps.
